Jayne Schaeffer, CPA/PFS
After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1984 from Albright College, Jayne began working in regional public accounting firms advancing from staff accountant to Partner in 1999.
Jayne has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for 27 years and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) since 1991
In 2010, Jayne became among the first recipients of the AICPA's Personal Financial
Specialist (PFS) designation.
Over her 34 years as a CPA and partner in public accounting firms Jayne has developed a reputation for providing a high standard of professionalism and personal attention to her clients.
In October 2017 Jayne founded J Schaeffer & Company LLC. The firm offers a wide range of capabilities including individual, estate, gift, & trust planning and compliance, annual private foundation reporting, family wealth management, and consulting services.
Jayne continues the partnerships she has developed with other professional services firms including attorneys and financial advisers to manage the needs of common clients across all aspects of their financial lives.
Jayne has worked over her career to "pay it forward" to the next generation of
accountants to insure coworkers are given the same opportunities she enjoyed from the generosity a mentor like Thomas Handwerk.
Her goal is to see that everyone she works with is presented with the same chance to develop a commitment to professionalism and community involvement she learned from those who came before her.
Jayne also exemplifies the value of good citizenship and has gone over and above
simply volunteering her time with charitable organizations. She has shown initiative and leadership skills across multiple organizations over three decades by both helping to raise funds and working to enable the delivery of services. Her efforts make things
better for others and help to create an impact for our community.
